Proceeding with Liberation

Ever felt stuck in a place in which you felt like there was no way out or you can’t get out of it? If you answered yes, you are not alone.  However, it is something about being in those uncomfortable places in which we learn how to draw strength from.  I can recall a time in my life in which things were moving so quickly I felt like I couldn’t get familiar with the new things because I was comfortable in my own dysfunction.  In this weird, miserable, and uncomfortable place I found a new me.  I began to do things that challenged my thought process but brought me so much joy and freedom.  Guess what it was? You’re right. I started being ME.  This process allowed me to learn the following lessons:

1.  Allow room for mistakes: Life happens and when it happens it takes off in full force.  I learned that it wasn’t about how many mistakes I made or tend to make but the lessons that I have learned from those mistakes.  Learning not to allow the mistakes to define who I am but overcome them by trying again and again until it was right for me.

2.  Moving with confidence:  Stay positive.  Don’t rely on those “should ofs”, “could ofs”, “would ofs” to set your limits. I started setting my own limits and became a “Goal” digger.  I did not let allow anything or anyone stop me from achieving my dreams.  Once you start setting your own tone, you will learn how to walk right into situations as if you own the room.

3.  Finding peace: Center yourself around things that keep you grounded and doesn’t distract you.  For me it was finding my spiritual connection and holding on to those family members that supported me.  Kicking all negativity out of my life was one of the best decisions that I could’ve made.  I feel so light and free without drama that I can’t even spell drama in my new world.

Needless to say, finding myself was my guide to being liberated from all things that I thought was me but truly wasn’t.  Remember your mistakes don’t require explanations, nor do they define who you are. Continue to walk with confidence and let others be liberated by the joy you possess.  Lastly gaining a sense of peace is how we began the process of not allowing situations to oppress, stress, and depress us but peace sets the tone for the new you.
