What Happens Each Month:
Each monthly session is structured to build clinical skill, deepen phase‑by‑phase understanding, and support real‑world EMDR practice:
• Comprehensive Review of One of the 8 Phases of EMDR Therapy
Each session focuses on one of EMDR’s eight phases — from history taking and treatment planning, through preparation and assessment, to desensitization, installation, body scan, closure, and reevaluation. This ensures participants gain a practical understanding of both the purpose and clinical application of each phase as it unfolds in real practice. EMDR International Association+1
• Discussion of an Applicable Clinical Resource
To enrich learning, each phase review is paired with an evidence‑informed clinical tool, worksheet, model, or resource relevant to that phase. These resources help bridge theory and practice — whether it’s case conceptualization templates, assessment aids, or strategies for working with complex presentations.
• Focused Case Consultation and Application
Participants bring clinical cases to explore how EMDR concepts are applied in real sessions. Consistent with EMDR consultation best practices, this consultation provides a collaborative environment for receiving expert feedback, refining bilateral stimulation application, deepening integration of the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model, and enhancing treatment planning. Together, these elements ensure that each session is not just informational but clinically actionable, helping clinicians strengthen confidence and competence in delivering EMDR therapy.
